Chat is the planning layer sitting in front of Lovable’s Plan and Build modes, which is where Lovable actually generates or changes app code. You can ask chat to weigh a product decision, review an app you’ve already built, or draft supporting material, all without touching your paid credits, as long as you stay inside the daily allowance.

Why it matters

Before this, exploring an idea and building it lived in the same metered space. If you wanted Lovable’s opinion on whether to build a booking flow or a membership model, you were spending the same credits you’d use to actually build either one. Free chat separates those two things.
