Correction, October 14, 2026: The listed per-seat tiers apply to Team plans. Enterprise customers share usage across Grok and Cursor, with both managed from one dashboard.
xAI’s X Subscription bundles Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor, and X Premium. Paid plans share a Grok usage allowance across apps. Models from other providers remain available in Cursor on Premium and above, with separate usage charges.
One Grok pool across Cursor and Grok
The Grok apps, the Grok tab on X, and Cursor draw from the same pool. Cursor’s announcement says the allowance refreshes weekly. A heavy day coding with Grok in Cursor leaves less of that week’s allowance for Grok chat.
xAI’s monthly plans are Free at $0, Plus at $8, Premium at $30, Super at $100, and Ultra at $200. It lists Premium, Super, and Ultra at 4x, 15x, and 50x the Plus plan’s usage. xAI says each plan includes at least twice as much coding usage on its own models as the comparable Cursor plan.
Third-party models are billed on top
On Premium and above, Cursor bills models from other providers at API list prices, the provider’s published usage rates. You can add paid usage through top-ups and set spending caps. Work done with those models costs extra even when you have Grok allowance left.
Team plans offer Premium, Super, and Ultra at the same monthly price per person as individual plans. xAI says this costs less per seat than older Cursor Teams plans and includes 3x more coding usage. Teams also get company-account sign-in, admin controls, and consolidated billing. Enterprise customers manage Grok and Cursor from one dashboard with a shared usage pool.
Existing subscribers can keep their plans
xAI’s October 12 announcement says existing Cursor, SuperGrok, and X Premium subscribers can keep their current plans, prices, and features. It announced a rollout of the switching option over the following days, through account billing settings. Switching comes with limited-time offers shown in those settings.
Cursor says included third-party usage on an existing plan continues until you switch. Moving to the X Subscription replaces that allowance with separate charges for those models.
